Description:

“Unforgivable” presents an intriguing blend of detective gameplay, augmented reality (AR), and GPS-driven location-based services (LBS). Players are invited to immerse themselves in the bustling environments of both New York City and Taipei, engaging in a dual exploration that can occur virtually or physically as they pursue a criminal.

In this narrative, players assume the role of Danny, a third-grade NYPD detective born and raised in New York. Described as nearly six feet tall and possessing an athletic build, Danny grapples with a degree of skepticism toward others, a trait that has developed over his years in law enforcement. Driven by the unresolved complexities surrounding his grandfather's murder by alleged agents of the white terror, Danny’s workaholic tendencies manifest as he strives to uncover the truth. His background includes dismantling drug gangs and contributing to the incarceration of a corrupt city councilman, all while seeking to piece together the evidence surrounding his grandfather's demise.

The game opens with an intriguing narrative twist; players receive a phone call from Naomi Oshiro, a recent graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology and a burgeoning fashion designer in NYC. Naomi holds suspicions regarding her mother's potential involvement in the events leading to Danny's grandfather's death, which adds another layer of depth to the unfolding story.

The visual aesthetic of “Unforgivable” is marked by character designs from renowned illustrator Meyoco, whose stylized interpretations bring a unique flair to the game. Additionally, the writing is crafted by award-winning author Ed Lin, recognized for his contributions to the detective and thriller genres.
